There’s something about August that gets me thinking about pumpkins.
Back to school is right around the corner and you know what that means, so is Fall.
Pumpkins, colorful leaves, and cinnamon aromas take over stores and homes. As far as Fall décor goes, creative pumpkin projects can be a fun part of this time of year.
Here is a fun idea to create a beautiful Fall-festive pumpkin centerpiece for a cozy autumn-themed home.
I got all of my supplies at Hobby Lobby. An added bonus, they have 40% off all of their Fall decor right now. Check out the video below to see how it was done.
Supplies:
- Faux pumpkin
- Faux leaves and flowers of your choice
- Wire cutters
- Knife
- Glass
- Pencil
1. Trace
Use the mouth of the glass to trace an opening onto the top of the pumpkin.
2. Cut
Cut the traced section of the pumpkin out with the knife.
3. Trim
Clip the ends of the faux flowers and leaves with enough height to extend beyond the pumpkin’s edges with wire cutters. Stick the ends of the flowers and leaves in the lined styrofoam in the faux pumpkin.
If your pumpkin is hollow (and not lined with styrofoam), place the glass you use to trace the pumpkin inside to hold the flowers and leaves.
4. Arrange
Arrange the leaves and flowers to your liking.
That’s all!
What do you think of this seasonal centerpiece? Are you getting ready to start decorating for Fall?
